There’s nothing quite like hopping out of the shower, pool, or salty ocean water and into a warm, cozy towel. We clearly love that feeling! To make sure your towels and blankets all stay in the best shape possible, we wanted to share a few tips and tricks for care and cleaning.
The general rules to keeping your LBTC pieces happy and healthy are:
- Wash on a delicate cycle
- Dry on a low, warm cycle (not all products but most)
- Wash with like colors
- Wash with other towels or similar pieces
Here are a few more details for taking care of your favorite pieces…
Bath towel
- Wash separately on a warm, gentle cycle (or with other like color LBTC towels) before use
- After first wash, machine wash on warm and gentle with like colors
- Tumble dry on low
Cabana towel
- Wash separately on a warm, gentle cycle before use
- After first wash, machine wash in warm with like colors
- Tumble dry on low
Turkish beach towel
- Wash separately before use
- After first wash, machine wash in warm with like colors
- Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean
- Avoid fabric softeners
- No dryers for me, dry flat
Microfiber travel towel
- Machine wash cold on the gentle cycle
- Tumble dry on low heat (high heat will melt the microfibers) or air dry (that's my specialty)
- Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, and no dry cleaning or ironing
Picnic blanket
- Machine wash cold on the gentle cycle
- Wash separately
- Tumble dry on low
- Do not use fabric softeners or dry clean
- Easily spot clean the waterproof side of the blanket
And most importantly: use regularly, don’t be afraid to get sandy, and make every day a beach day.
